SLA shells A9 gateway to Vanni

A 52-year-old civilian was wounded when four artillery shells fired by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) hit the Pu`liyangku`lam entry, exit point to the Liberation Tigers of Tamileelam (LTTE) controlled area in Vavuniyaa Thursday around 12:30 p.m., Tamileelam Police officials told reporters in Ki`linochchi.
The civilian passenger who sustained injuries was on his way to Vavuinyaa and had reached the gateway when the shells hit the area.
Tension prevailed as passengers in buses were forced to seek safety following the attack.
The gateway is kept opened from 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. during the week days for public with the assistance by the ICRC.

Civilians are the victims whenever there is Terrorism. Prabakaran's LTTE terrorists can never pay back for all the crimes they have done to this peaceful contry

Read again it says SLA shelled and civilians got injuried or died.

Its hard to tell what you were saying but you might have missed the big picture.
It was Prabakaran's LTTE Terrorism that started this whole thing. It is Prabakaran's desire to get civilians killed by SL forces in order to gain a propaganda point.
Read what Dr. Rajini Thiranagama has written. She saw how the LTTE operating with her own eyes. Read and learn the facts. |

You are missing a big part here. You manage to see the problem by LTTE which was formed only 30 year back. Did you see how LTTE came into the big picture and what made the inception of LTTE and didn t you ask yourself a question why the diaspora tamils and most of the Tamils in Jaffna are supporting LTTE?
Still don t you get it? In 1958 communal riots thousands of Tamil people were killed and robbed it was not the end.. it happened till 1983.. the communal attack on Tamils stopped only after LTTE came in to the picture.. LTTE was not there in 1958 or in 1977.. or 1983 so what are you going to say about that?

I don t have to look at LTTE or Tamils through Rajini Thirangam s eyes.. Learn to look things through your own eyes Not through someone else s eyes. You trying to read what she has written.. Rajini s writing is no benchmark for nothing! She wrote for a particular audience!

Vavuinyaa is a dangerous place to travel these days. a civilian, who has basic knowledge should know how to avoid danger n not to travel while there is a crossfire. in a war situation, either they should stay in a safe place (temple, church), or evacuate the area.
and also artillery shells are not designed with an AI brain. so it goes and land where it suppose to land. who ever fired it cannot predict whether its gonna hit the target or a civilian who's walking near by the target. civilians die in war. it doesnt matter if it is north or south. best thing is to evacuate those areas and let the SLA n LTTE handle the situation. |
