Dinesh new Chief Government Whip

Minister Dinesh Gunawardane was yesterday appointed the Chief Government Whip of Parliament, filling the void created by slain minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa nominated Minister Gunawardane s name at the government party leaders meeting at Temple Trees last evening.
At the meeting, Ministers Hemakumara Nanayakkara, Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Jayatissa Ranaweera were also appointed to support Minister Gunawardane in Parliament, sources said.

This is an excellent choice.
Dinesh Chandra Rupasinghe Gunwardena is the son of Boralugoda Lion Phillip Rupasinghe Gunawardena......
Dinesh is a highly experienced politician and Parliamentarian and is a good choice for the Govt. Chief Whip....
Mahinda as usual has made a very thoughtful, excellent choice.
Voiciferous Minister's like Mahindananda, Dilan Perera, Hemakumara, Jayatissa Ranaweera, Mahinda Amaraweera etc. will give the required support to Dinesh.....

| Heading should have said Dinesh Gunawardane appointed as temprory Chief government whip and soon Basil will be government chief whip and CM of east. |
