The country has suffered war and strife for a generation because some sinhala idiots wanted to forcibly foist the sinhala language on the tamils fifty years ago.

Even today some sinhala idiots are trying to ram the sinhala language down our throats. These people never learned from the mistakes of their forefathers and are the cause of the continuing ethnic war in the country.

If this news is true, there is no need to blame JVP, JHU, or SLA or even Pilleyan for blasting buses and trains in south from now.

LTTE is doing those hits..!

So, they are deliberately targeting civilians....?????

Today, Tamil net said, SLAF bombed Jaffna FDL, with no claim about civilian deaths.

So, we can expect no bombs in coming few days in buses in south..?

REUTERS:

Tamils in the Froum were blaming Sinhala - kotis, JHU, JVP, UNP and RaniL for the bomb blasts.

'We want to claim that we are responsible for the bomb attacks on the transport vehicles and other attacks,' Ellalan Force, which the military says is a Tiger-linked group, said in an e-mail to Reuters.

No. Because, Thanthi Selva did the same thing in 50's in Galle face, colombo. Sathyakiraka. Just before his death in 70's, he told not to believe in peaceful protest. I never participated in any protest in SL or overseas.

So you except that protesting is a waste of time

PS: I was forced to participate in protest during ragging period in JVP period.

Sorry to hear about that, can imagine you experience.Anyone would do that because their scared for their lives.

Don't you think the people who were protesting in London were doing it for the same reason you did it when you were in the Uni.

Berty:

What you have failed to recognize is LTTE is a terrorist org and as a Terrorist org killing innocent people is part of their attack but the same cannot be said about the forces.

What you have done is, You have put both LTTE and the SL forces in the same category!!

Not for a minute. I do not consider them in the same category. Of course there is room to improve. If you look at SLAF capability, it has improved immensely. Their aerial attacks in the nineties never fell in the target. Instead, they fell in civilian areas. Today, it is a whole different attack force.

Another area where govt can improve is punishing errand members in its security units. In fact, there are few in any army, including the highly trained US army. The difference is that there is right process to address such issues which I think we are lacking. But, professionalism of SL forces is very good. I can guarantee that our leadership or the army commanders never ever order any massacres or civilian targets. Period. You cannot say the same about LTTE.

But they still see no clear winner on the horizon.

The war mongers learn nothing from the experience of previous leaders. Every leader comes to power to sort out the problem and follows the hard line generals who have permanent residences abroad to educate their children while killing those of the poor in the South. THe leader realise their folly at the end of their terms. Until then the ordinary people pay the price of their decision to elect their leader.

Destruction and killings are inevitable consequences without ' clear winner'.
