Deputy Public Prosecutor Paul Chia described how the six
systematically raided the United Overseas Bank (UOB) ATMs at shopping
centres and Changi Airport.
The game was up when one of them was spotted by an ATM technician
retrieving the white card.
Because banks have payment systems allowing inter-bank transfers,
money they withdrew from UOB
would be reimbursed by the account holders bank in Britain, he
said.

It was the second time that such an operation was employed in
Singapore. A Sri Lankan-born man based in London used forged cards in
September to make similar ATM withdrawals. Navaseelan Balasingam was
sentenced to seven years, six months in jail.
The six pleaded guilty earlier this month to conspiracy to steal and
access a computer.
Unemployed Nishanthan Ramachandran, 29, and storekeeper
Amirthyalingam Pukalenthy, 28, described as core members along with Ramanan,
were each jailed for nine and a-half years.
Nishanthan s younger brother, Nimalan, 25, was jailed for four and a
half years.
Cab driver Paarthipan Nadarajah was jailed for six years and three
months, while sales assistant Prathees Kumar Ratnaval, 26, was sentenced to
seven and a-half years

courtesy of the Straits Times Singapore and the Asiantribune
25 april Asiatribune is published by coolies employed and paid Sri Lankan president to propagate lies.
Asiatribune will not publish any news about the arrest of Sinhala Buddhist head monk and his bomb making factory within his vihare in Bedegama in Galle District.
In spite of the Milliooooooooooooons spent on propaganda by the president MR to blame or relate to LTTE in frauds all over the world not a single case was related to LTTE or any conviction of any individuals. These are hot air balloons made to fly high to satisfy the halocinations of day dreamers from the South. |

There were no LTTE casualties in the operation (AS USUAL), the Tigers said adding that their marines safely returned to their base in Vanni mainland after destroying the SLN camp where they plan to participate in tooth and arse cleaning exercise which they have not done in at least 4 months due to the lack of proper toiletries.
The LTTE, on Thursday morning, displayed the weapons and military equipments seized in the attack to our media in Vanni. at this rate Eelam is very close as long as we keep up this rate of success rate commented LTTE Military Spokesperson Irasiah Illanthryian.
The Tigers also noted that the prize catch in this operation of 60 Elite men against the Remote outpost of 13 SL Navy men was that they seized a Sri Lankan Identity card! which was worth the effort off all that men and equipment alone because they can now use it to collect free social services in Sri Lanka under a False Name and funnel those rupees back to Eelam. Also the Identity card can be used to also manufacture a false Sri Lankan Passport and help another one of their Leaders sneak their children out of the country to go to the UK and get a proper Private School education at the expense of the Diaspora s funding. |

Work, legitimate work, was the source of all wealth. That was to say, whether it was a sack of potatoes, a grand piano, or a private jet, it came into being only by the performance of work. Where the looters came in was in the distribution of these things after labor had created them. One failed to see the horny-handed sons of toil enjoying grand pianos or riding private jets. Looters sat up nights and schemed how they could get between the workers and the things the workers produced When they got between the worker and his product, they took a whack out of it for themselves The size of the whack was determined by no rule of equity but by their own strength and swinishness.
