Batticaloa police recovered the corpse of a Muslim vegetable trader from Kaahththaankudi along Kalladi Chivaananthaa School Street Sunday around 1:30 p.m on information from the residents of the area. Signs of tension prevail in Kaaththaankudi where police and Special Task Force commandos have been deployed to maintain order and peace.
The body was identified as Abdul Farook Mohamed Kuthoos, 45, a native of Ea raavoor, married in Kaaththaankudi.
Police handed over the body to Batticaloa Teaching Hospital for post mortem examination.

Dear LNP members,
Another fine day after a long time to have 'LNP Kids Say the Darnest Things' contest. As we have new mambers in the caliber of E. Lamaya and Dr Nada, future looks very funny if not bright. Today we have a rookie as our winner and he wins the first price with a high tech revelation.
Today's first price goes to none other than our new member Manivanan for his contribution on cell phones instead of detonators theory:):)
Detonators are out of fashion. LTTE use High tech ships, or wireless transmitters. It is Similar to mobile phone. LTTE already set thousand of bombs everywhere now they send only call to the bomb. That is the modern tech.. Other wise how it is possible they can carry an attack on the following day of State terrorist attacked innocent Tamil civilians
