Railway Department imposed a 90 percent increase in fares from yesterday
Hard on the heels of last Thursday s hike in bus fares by 27.2 per cent, the Railway Department imposed a 90 percent increase in fares from yesterday. The minimum fare will be doubled. The charge per kilometer has been increased by 90 percent, the Railway s Commercial Manager Wijeya Samarasinghe said.
GoSL expecting this war to be over by 31st of December 2008. hopefully by 1st January, all these prices will be come down usual which we have seen 30 years before.
nothing much to worry.

The chief priest of a Buddhist Vihare in Baddegama police division in Galle district was arrested Thursday afternoon with a haul of explosives weighing about 60 kg on receipt of information conveyed by some members of the public. Police team recovered 43 kilos of dynamite, 223 kilos of ammonium nitrate, 22 kilos of black gun powder and 233 detonators and cash of about Rs:29,000 from the Vihare, police sources said.

There won't be any more such blast in Colombo or in down south once the gouvernment has come out for peace talks by withdrawing arm forces from the North and Northeast.
Destroying all Tamils properities , abducting and killings Tamils civilians,stealing and bringing down south all Tamil properties from the tamil areas should be stopped immediately to avoid all these bomb blasts.
Sarath Ponseka can not finish up this war at the end of this war unless all these sinhalese atrocities are brought under control and international communities can not accept whatever the gouvernments says.
Appointing a Para Military man as CM in the eastern province can not be accepted by UN or Tamils and gouvernment should know the next action of Mr.VP.
Mr.Mahinda should take a night train to Wanni without any shame to meet Mr.VP for peace talk and without Mr.VP sri lanka can not find any peaceful solution.

Withdraw all arm forces from Tamils areas
Install a federal statut for Tamils in the North and northeast and northwest under UN supervision.
Return all tamil properities.
Remove all army camps from tamil areas.
Release all Tamil youths arrested for nothing under emergency law.
Remove all illegal sinhaala immigrants from all tamil areasexcept some sinhalese living before the war
