`Development is possible only when there is permanent peace. To achieve peace the International Community (IC) should engage seriously in restoring the status quo which the IC itself has disturbed in recent times, and should pressurise the Sri Lankan government to come to terms with a negotiated settlement,` said Liberation Tigers of Tamileelam (LTTE) Political Head B. Nadesan, in an exclusive interview to TamilNet on Friday, while responding to a question on LTTE`s position on International involvement in Colombo`s `development-agenda`. `Recognition of Tamil sovereignty and right to self-determination are key issues in creating a climate for a negotiated settlement,` Nadesan added.

Development untenable without peace

Harak Gonseka, Kehellella, MCNS and the Govt have all assured that the LTTE including Nadesan, VP and terrorism will all be wiped out by the end of this year. Then there is going to be peace and TREMENDOUS development hitherto never seen in Sri Lanka!

Though peace will help to boost the development of a country it is not mandotory. For example, Isreal, is figting with many naibouring enemy countries but still they manage to develop the country. We too must not wait until peace is restored and try to contribute whatever we can to increase the production of the country.

What ?
...Negotiaget settlement ?

That is what the GOSL over 25 yrs were trying to do...

Last was the best prospect.. when late Bala and Tamilselvem agreed for a federal solution, who over ruled that ???

Who prevented people from voting??

Hence who asked for the current LTTE calamity??

Who fooled GOSL and international community over and over again !

Karuna said VP is never for peace!

Having put a snake in the pocket and now crying bitting .. bitting...

Development ?? What development???

Having collected billions of dollers, have they given a panadol or a grain of rice to the tamils under their control???

THEY WERE CRUAL ENOGH EVEN TO STEAL TSUNAMI MONEY MEANT FOR TAMILS WHO LOST EVERYTHING!!!
