Captain,
President Mahinda Rajapakse yesterday admitted there was considerable agitation in the country over the abduction and torture of The Nation Associate Editor Keith Noyahr and promised the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
The IGP read out a report on the progress made so far on the investigation into the abduction of the senior journalist but said progress was difficult
It was however pointed out that through the cell phone use of Noyahr, a location in Dekatana, Dompe was identified as the location to which the abductors had taken the journalist and that investigations will be carried out using that information.
The President had also used the opportunity to solicit the support of the media for the war effort and said though there maybe few bad people in the security forces, the efforts of the military as a whole should be supported and not undermined.
'Don't allow the enemy to exploit this situation,' the President had said. The reasons for the Government's failure to secure a seat at the UN Human Rights Council and the sharp increase of fuel prices was also explained at the breakfast meeting.
IF you still dont know who is ' Senpathi' i cant drill more into your singlecelled brain.
Is Mahinda feeling the heat of debacle at Military, Political & Economic Sides, since he has invited media people whom he always abuse ? |

KonapuBandara,
So when the terrorists blow up train loads of innocent civilians in the name of fighting the government, the president is responsible for it. Not the murderous LTTE Scum who did it?
Yes, the President is responsible for either capturing and punishing those whom he considers to be responsible and if he is not able to do that he is responsible to include them through diplomatic negotiations. The weaknesses of a child are the weaknesses of a parent. Likewise the weaknesses of a citizen are also the weaknesses of a good governor.

Hi Chennai,
Yes, you are correct, I am not in office today. As I said to you before, whole SL has economically collapsed and we all are begging in streets. People are starving and there are food riots all over the place.
I hope this helps and you can now sleep easy.... |

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) is to decide on a tariff revision in consultation with the Finance Ministry, Power and Energy Minister John Seneviratne said.
With the fuel price hike the CEB is considering revising electricity tariffs in the event it fails to obtain a fuel subsidy, Seneviratne said.
Electric Shock apart from Oil Shock !
I just wish Sorry Lanka not to get short Circuited with these Shocks.

Afraid to take the bus ah? I understand. Train is no good either. Try cycling and its good for health ie if you do not go near any exploding buses |

:)))
Not yet.
Public Defecation still remains endemic to Tamil Nadu. |
