This is the difference between Mahinda Rajapaksa and Pirapaharan
Hardly any difference. Both have adequately covered themselves. One hides beneath the ground. The other hides at ground level in a well fortified fortress known as Temple Trees while the innocent people are exposed to all the mayhem.
The siblings of both seem to enjoy all the luxury too!

it could have declared UDI with the good old times of CFA but that too was far fetched reality. but the LTTE lot that golden opportunity because VP wanted to try his luck at arms when the rest was all going well for him to settle for the maximum jusst short of elam. the IC was with him, funds were there from WTO, TRO and other front organizations. their sole representative lie was not politically challenged at that time and the two provinces were together merged at that time.
