Only think that is certain in life is death. So the event of death is not material: what is material is how life up to that point was used. As far as Brigadier Balraj was concerned he used it well and stood-up for what he believed without selling out the people that believed in him or his own principles.
We might agree with him or not: he was a true soldier of the cause and his memory will live on. May his soul rest in peace. His body toiled the labor of love for his people for over three decades.

this reminds me of the great poem about the hero Horatious who held the bridge against the invading army so the rest of the romans could save city.
Balraj too broke the SLN cordon and put his 1000 men in the middle of the Jaffna-Supply route and even when facing 30000! SLA who surrounded him and tried to break his position he held it so the supplies to EP could be cut. this led to the fall if EP
the so called 'impregnable' camp!
