Terrorism is a terrible sickness that is spreading in the world. Osama Bin Laden is a terrorist and the Western countries wanted him dead or alive. But did they ever think of talking to him? Yet some Western countries seem tohave a selective attitude and wanted us to talk to the LTTE which is one of the most brutal terrorist outfits in the world, Prime Minister Ratnsiri Wickramanayake said,
`Some countries even threatened us,` Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka said at the BMICH Saturday (17) at a ceremony to launch two books translated into Sinhala on the Gandhara Buddhist civilisation in Pakistan organised by the High Commission of Pakistan Colombo.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka were both victims of terrorism. Pakistan had helped Sri Lanka in numerous ways and we should not forget it. We were grateful to Pakistan for protecting the works of Buddhist heritage, art, profound and compassionate message that changed the lives of many in the world Wickrmanayake said.
Lord Buddha`s message was carried far and wide in India, China, Afghanistan, Indonesia. When the Bamiyan Buddha Statue destruction was on I appealed to the then President of Pakistan at a SAARC conference and he did his best the Prime Minister said.

When every thing goes up side down every body attempt to hang on the robe.
'Good' cannot survive without 'bad' except in heaven. This is the dual nature of this materialistic world.Politicians enjoy many privileges for the services rendered. endangering their lives also a one of the service. |

Terrorism has about few thousand years of history. Many attempts were made to dishonour and also to kill Lord Buddha. Jesus crucified. Many rulers were assassinated right through the history.
If the politicians are thinking that we citizen should go to temple and observe sil while they are allowed to do devil dancing is a mistake.

| Leaders should find the reason for the terrorism ratherthan blamming for terror act. of course politicians are the main reason who seeds the terrorism in all countries. |

Terrorism a sickness in our world
MR, Gotabhaya and the Army Commander seem to have found the 'cure' for the sickness! If it 'cures' Sri Lanka by the end of this year they can sell the 'cure' to the US! |
