Sri Lanka is already wining this war by any objective measure. There was a Chief Minister sworn in the Eastern province after democratic elections. Huge blow to terrorists! Do not take heart from wheeling and dealing that goes in politics in a democracy. That is natural in SL or any other democracy. You can see the wheeling and dealing happening in US democratic primaries between Obama's and Hillery's fraction now. Important thing is for the people to have a say in who their leaders are.
Totally opposite to what LTTE terrorists stand for.

No. Tamils influenced the entry of international groups and this was natural due to their investment beyond Sri Lanka - especially through higher education.
Most international groups come there to 'show' what they have done - for their own credit - rather than to actually be part of us. They then attract their own competitors. That is Lanka's current situation. We need to take advantage of it rather than continuing to find fault with each other by living in the past.

You are saddened by her death , but do you condemn the killing by LTTE?
No I don't know whether Maheswary was in debit or credit with the God of War.
Why can't a woman be a politician and only be an administrator?
What has this got to do with her gender? You seem to see an issue with it. If indeed there is one - then hats off to Maheswary for making it almost to the top.

We have war due to politicians. Hence anyone who chooses to be more political than administrative is taking on the risks of war. This includes many in this forum who fear being attacked by their opposition and hence keep their identities secret. That shows fear. Fear means death.
When you speak about Tamil rights are you an administrator, politician or a civil riight activist?
Depends. Where someone had earned admin credit - I add my strength as an administrator irrespective of race. Where admin work of a Tamil has not been recognized, I use my subjective power - which is social and political. When I am supporting someone who has been disadvantaged in the past - I speak as a civil rights activist.

Sorry Lanka cannot win this war. It is just putting on a show for the southern morons. If they had destroyed all that they claim LTTE would be powerless but it seems like it is getting stronger.
East elections was a scam. it was rigged all the way.
MR knew they were going to win even before the elections.
the people of the east know this. No matter what the govt says they are not buying it. |

Gaja while talking about democracy and advanced states of mind or what ever accept that anyone other than LTTE should not do politics.
So, Maheswari was killed and her fate was decided when she chosed politics. Anyway she chosed to visit her ailing mother even though she thought she would die.
Gaja's advanced state of mind shows that she even is not honest to herself.
GAja is not capable of condemning LTTE even though she accepted that LTTE killed Maheswari.
Gaja wants everyone to be FAIR except tamils they themselves. |

LAst week LTTE kileed twio policemen in Batti.
Two days ago, LTTE killed a tamil woman in Jaffna.
LTTE blew up two self made LTTE - colonels in Wanni. |

I feel that , the criticalness of the conflict in srilanka is due to non equal ration between Sinahlese and Tamils , once that reached to 50:50 , the island will enjoy the peace , till that PIECE might be the answer , what do you think ? |
