but when singhalese vote for mahinda chindana-'win the war at any cost' , singhalese thought that the cost means only tamils lives.
some tamils can present ONLY their wrong view.
When LTTE prevented DEMOCRATIC VOTE and prevented Ranil getting elected they cheered the heroic dictatorship of VELU. |

you see anud according to most of you ltte is a terrorist organization. you guys talk a lot about ltte's dictatorship and non democratic ways. now you are complaining about tamils?
even if tamils are allowed to vote ranil, that govt wouldn't exist for long time b.cos majority of singhalese rejected it. what's the use of choosing a powerless govt? |

Yes. Thanks to LTTE, the minority selected this government that somehow beat all the odds to become what it is today.

For the first time in SL history we have a armed rebel movement in control of the provincial government. If this is successful we can have a military government for the whole of SL. That might solve much of the problems.
The experiment is worth it. |

I could have left your pariah state,if I was looking for green patures, when I was a batchular in the sixties, very easily.
With an aerogramme I would have got a job in Canada with even flight payed.
But in the seventies when I was working in Anuradapura General Hospital, and once I was travelling in the UTHARA DEVI,home,I met a Jaffna Central boarding mate, after about 20 years or so.
We exchanged the routine courtisies,and he asked me what I was doing.
When I said that who I am... he was surprised and happy.
You know why?
That day he was returning from CANADA.
He told ,me that one of my former colleague,who was working in Canada and with whom he stayed,had told him to his former collegues in the pariah state and wants to come to Canada,he would be able to help them with everything including finding a job and to contact him if they wish.
You know,BAKAMOONA, when he said this to me in the that train,to be honest,I did not take any notice of what he said. He must have thought at that time,either I was rude or mad.
But I was neither!
I was not interested about foreign pastures.
My only intention at that time was to serve the people,who gave me that qualification and to lead a simple life like most the other people in the island,irrespective of any race or ethnicity.
But on,17 0f August,1977-everything changed-you know why?
On that day I was running in Anurdahapura to safe my life.
I did not commit any crime.
I did not hurt any people in Anuradhapura.
But I have to struggle to safe my life.
You do not have any clue,how I felt that moment and day!
Why,why?
I had to run to safe my life?
Apart from being being a Tamil-I have not committed any crime.
Is it a crime to be a Tamil?

Breaking news On ITN at 8.00pm today 2 airforce jets bombed Iranamadu, it seems they destroyed one plane. bombing took place when they spotted on radar one takaran airforce flight.
