Until of late, I believed that LTTE could be starved out by inaction. That is because I also believe that LTTE will hide under children and women if the forces go looking for them to clean them up. I always knew that there is no peace possible as long as LTTE and VP are in the picture and was hoping that there would be enough time to starve them out.
I do believe that I may have been mistaken. LTTE needs to be eliminated ASAP. I only hope that our forces can flush them out while protecting the innocent civilians.
We have one more reason to kill all these LTTErs and give that place to people who deserves..like Pilliyan.
Give the east to Hisbullah and the North to Pillayan.. :)

This is what we wanted from the begining. Chase all the bloody Tamils and save our motherland for us to live.
VP helped us kill and chase away Tamils and we owe him a lot.
3 million tamil population is now reduced to less than 1 million and Sinhala population has gone up from 15 million to 18 million.
Good for us...Stateless crappy Tamils..

Let me use your words: so your still catering to the terrorists and not the population. Is this any different from what JR did when he only negotiated with LTTE? All governments have followed even to date.
You say there are no moderate Tamils but have you looked for any. Politicians do only what populations want. So you might not be able to find politicians but if you find Tamils that the people respect politicians will have little choice. |

I am still a bleeding-heart lefty. Don't get me wrong :)
The situation in SL is so unfortunate. I realize that cost of inaction will be far worse than anything else. There is nothing to suggest LTTE is for a negotiated settlement. I hope that there are no hidden agenda's in MR's plan. I still can not trust the gang. But there is no one else that has ever done what he has done so far given the chaos and mayhem that is part of sri lankan politics. My hats off to the guy.

There are millions of moderate tamils. They will realize that only when the LTTE is eliminated. I was hoping for an Implosion of LTTE if you can remember, but that is not going to happen. This is a problem we and our parents created and we should resolve it without leaving it to our children. Moderate Tamils and Singalese will crawl out of the woodwork once the LTTE is gone and democracy is restored.

At present, this is what LTTE can do best the least.
It is the media which partly at fault because they celebrate those stories by publishing with big head lines. That is how they earn their living.
Media do not allow SLDFs to get rid of these animals by getting together with other NGOs, tamil Racist - Mano Ganesan and others and publish stories against SLDFs.
GOSL should should let SLDFs finish LTTE, and also should make the best and long term effort to get all the Tamil - diaspora who helped LTTE to continue this carnage and destruction. LTTE - tamil diaspora should pay for this.
