Berty, I fully agree with you. Forgiveness is completely different to forgetting. Although we SHOULD forgive for what happend in 1983, we must never forget, so that we can prevent such a thing happening again.
I also agree than Eelam is not an answer. Actually its going to cause far more problems. IF Ealam is 'given', watch it denigrate into a shambles as everyone want to try and carve a total of 200% from the pie. Add to the old fuedal/caste problems, and the whole thing will collapse.
Also regarding the whole Sinhala act shenigans. I dont believe it was 100% bad, just handled really badly. There should have been a managed transition period, and consultation, none of which happened, just a sudden change, which was unfair.
Seriously the only answer is a safe living environment for all Sri Lankans, to live, where they choose, with the ability to study and work in peace and harmony. We haven't reached that in 30 years. But its still possible. |

SLAF raids Iranamadu runway - Mullaittiuvu
The Sri Lankan Air Force fighter craft made precision air sorties at the Iranamadu runway this evening in Mullaittiuvu, Air Force sources said.
According to available information the target was engaged on receiving intensified LTTE activities at the location, at around 8.p.m., sources further added.

The bombs in Colombo can be directly stopped if we clean the mudukkkus and lodges. hehe, you know what comes next..
When Gota packed a few and send them to Vauniya there was
a big uproar and Gota had to back down.
I am sure MR and Gota would give serious thought to this again and clean up the place of these trouble makers.
Police after losing a few of their own would pressure this to the GOSL for consideration.
It looks like all the forces are over worked and exhausted
and sometimes slack at crucial time. The GOSL should have expected this and taken extra precautions.
I have been telling this a few time. 'They have to be lucky once we have to be lucky all the time'
