Dude last time I checked Desmond Tutu has not being elected to any position in any sovereign democracy in the world. He is definitely a decent man to have stood against Apartheid. However the LTTE has a big PR operation in South Africa and probably he was mislead about the government of SL. On the other hand Sri Lanka has got the support of many many head of states of democracies. I will take the score of SL government in the court of world opinion against LTTE any day.

There is a simple way out by electing Pillayan to the Parliament by asking one of the Muslim Minister to resign and give the CM post to Hisbulla..

again the question is will Pillayan accept?

This shows that he has no wested interest. So what he says should matter.

He is old and wise enough, personally gone through many negotiation in SA and outside. He knows what he is talking about. He is no fool.

On the other hand Sri Lanka has got the support of many many head of states of democracies.

May be may be not. Either way that has no baring on what Rev. Desmond Tutu said.

Sri Lanka was a such lovely place during my childhood. My mom and dad had a lot of friends of all ethnicities and they were all awesome people. Great to get together with some of them still and have a Gin & Tonic and a fine cigar.
