I think, MR had this possibly in the equation, but prefer to appoint Pilleyan to please Tamils in east and show the commitment to the world.
Why Tamil members in LNP are not happy about this..?
Are they want to have a Muslim CM, if the person is not from LTTE..?

Pillaiyan is a traitor of the Tamils.
Not true .. he left the 'LTTE fold' .. because he was 'dis-illusioned' with its aims, and management (especially, using young Eastern Tamils as 'sacrificial lambs').
But his crimes to the Tamils will be avenged but not by the Tamils. MR will knock him off.ie. if Pillaiyan does not do so, first ..
Why should MR do that .. when he is prepared to go against the wishes of his Muslim friends, and elevate Pillaiyan to CM of the Eastern Province ? As for Pillaiyan 'knocking off' MR .. that must be the 'dear hope' entertained by LTTE die-hards, but they are 'phantasising as usual' .. Let them 'dream on' ..
Also remember Karuna is also waiting in the wings..
Agreed, he could be a danger to Pillaiyan .. and to MR. He woulld need careful watching. (Apprehend him on arrival .. if he is sent back to SL .. keep him as a 'special guest' in Colombo .. limit his movements & associations).

Why would the tamil members be happy with this , If anything happens to the good of the country(SRI LANKA) they are unhappy . Most of what they have is crocodile tears , false concern , and conspiracy theories to plant seeds of doubt in us. |

Best solution to east is to have a tamil CM for now. But, muslims are hungry for power and willing to cross party lines to get the CM post. That is a sad situation. This drama will further strengthen the racial division in the region. It doesnt look good at the moment. LTTE will benefit from the fallout.
Hisbullah just want to be the CM. He has no clout to rule the EP. |

I think, LTTE will give a big try to change political function in east.
Pilleyan is at highest risk from now on.
Anyway, he managed matters with Karuna, who is one of the smartest in LTTE.
