My GF and Me saved by minutes from the bomb. Just came back to office. Had to go to WTC to pay some bills. Hey terrorists you missed me this time too.. Really sad abt the victims though... Anyway Its a daily incident in Colombo these days. So these bombs cant turn the SLA back from their trip to Vanni.

Special Forces were seen in the area doing searching afterwards..

The May 10 election in the Eastern Province is a massive defeat for separatist terrorism, so will be in north very soon.
What is the hurry for the CM swearing, we will probably have both North & Eastern CM's swearing in on the same day.So be cool guys, wait impatiently.

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (CNN) -- Eight people were killed and 90 wounded when a three-wheel scooter taxi loaded with explosives rammed a bus in Sri Lanka's capital, police and army sources said.


Most victims are members of a police riot squad that was on duty along the road where the explosion happened, the sources said.


As this is in the HSZ, less civilian casualities.

The bus was parked along Colombo's Lotus Road, less than 100 meters (110 yards) from the presidential secretariat, the sources said.


The squad was part of security preparations for the swearing-in of the chief minister for the Eastern Provisional Council.

I don't hv blood in my hand to wash, But I'm one of the person
affected 1983 riots, While I was small I saw the cruelty done by sinhalese mobs,
Still I don't want to do the same mistake to others.
I respect all the communities.

this what TAMILnut says but according to swaranwahini news these people were going for a demonstration that is scheduled to be held in front of the fort station!
