SF,

Nice to see you back. It was getting boring here without any updates.

I'm guessing the smuggling point you're talking about is Veduthalthivu.

BTW any more news on 61 div??

This ban is not really important to LTTE because they can do any thing for the money now in the world, can buy any one and any thing , most probably. Like Mahinda bought Praba in 2005 election time. It is their family business. Sinhala and Tamil fools can't understand this even after 25 years.
All these fools are loosing today and tomorrow for other's businesses. Fools,
Fools,
Fools,
Fools,

Cheers SF.

Hopefully, the LTTE will commit more resources and then the SLAF can get busy on them. That is the one thing which is lacking in the current operation (IMHO).

It would be a great boost for the troops to see some CAS taking out the LTTE FDL.

Have these bannings actually affected the LTTE?

The UK banned the LTTE, BUT their funding programs go on unhindered, their protest rallies go on unhindered, Anton Bala was allowed to reside in London seek treatment and was even given a VIP funeral with the British Police also in attendance and to this day the LTTE has its Head Office in Catherine Road in East Ham East London. What's the use of the ban?

In the US in New York about an year or two ago the LTTE flag and the US flag were paraded side by side during a new year celebration where some US Congressmen were also in attendance.

Similarly in most other countries where this ban is enforced LTTE activity continues without much problem except for an occassional raide and an arrest, and then everything goes back to usual.

Even in India the LTTE has strong support from those in TamilNadu specially the fishermen. Ban or no ban the activity continues.

Even in Sri Lanka the Central Bank froze all the TRO accounts and claimed that the LTTE will not be able to get funds thereafter as all funding channels have been blocked. That was said many moons ago, but the LTTE does not seem to be throttled!

So what practical purpose do these bans serve as even in Sri Lanka the LTTE is not banned!?
