What will be the outcome of fight between Pilliayan Vs Hasbullah?
I think Muslims smells the blood and going for the kill.
I believe Muslims do not deserve CM post right now.
May be later.
Hope we get some positive news tomorrow.

Good morning,
BTW why didnt you tell HIM not to talk about others when they are not around......scared are we???
You are correct. Sorry for my ignorance, if you put it that way.
Anyway, at that moment, I just commented without digging back just to defuse a possible argument. Thats all.
When I noticed well, SF has already gone and you were there.
Probably he is also a fan of SF...who knows!
ML, dont mis-lead by some baseless suggestions.
I am not a fan of anybody or I am a fan of all of you guys.
In fact, I didnt noticed specially about SF posts.
Some ugly minds try to get the advantage from any possible opportunity, its funny. Perhaps you see well...! |

Its going to be tough it seems.
MR must declare a rotating CM post, starting with Hisbulla, and Pilleyan then can get the max use of the post later.
Or, from the other hand, MR can give it to Pilleyan depending on new 10 seats of Wimal.
Keep a very big trust on Muslims politicians (not the general public) is a risk, when we see the history of SL politics. They are always loyal to the high gain point. |

I don't think so. Gota is going to engineer a plan to kill one of the two candidates to solve the problem and blame it on LTTE. |

I think Pilliyan should get the first term then Hisbullah.
Other wise Eelam sympathizers/Hawks keep shouting and discouraging/ridiculing TVMP boys.

Ah.. a handy option for MR.

Yes, Muslims are less reliable than other groups.
Unfortunately Muslims got more seats in East then they deserve.
Tamil: 42.9%, Muslims: 31.4% and Sinhala 24.9%
Seats: Tamil 6, Muslims: 8, Sinhala: 4 and 2 bonus

Yes, there should be a rotating system. Starting with Hisbulla who has some experience will be good. Pillian can take over in 2years after getting some experience.

Every politician in SL is like that
I think Muslims are a good example for their loyalty to Sri Lanka.

Muslims have always acted democratically. We should appreciate that fact.

Yes, there should be a rotating system.
This coming from Sansae surprised me but now that a couple have repeated it I thought of putting my two cents worth.
Why is the CM position this important for the two candidates?
Mainly the deciding power of the projects locally lies with the CM. This is the gravy train that both are after. Having the rotating position creates an environment that the second person will have to clean the first persons mess, knowing well that the pot is dry. This also creates questions on accountability.
What is the effect on the population? Even before PC has got off the ground it is looked at and catered on racial lines so who ever takes it is going to give first priority to this thinking as he truly believes that this is what won him the seat. Second in an environment where there everything hast to be created from the start there is going to be a lack of continuity to completion as the time frame of 2 yr is not sufficient.
When everything is said and done the CM position might not even be worth it if the center and the governor makes the decision and sucks the gravy before it reaches the east.

What you are saying is probably correct. But we can t expect things to turn around overnight.
It takes time to built trust among communities but we need to keep working at it.
Main thing is that there is some democratic system in operation.
