Yes,..this is a sad fact.

GOSL or some organization must produce a short documentary film about Colombo life and show it to the IC, emphasizing the Tamil life in Colombo and other main cities.

The Tamils are coming to Colombo to escape from Carpet bombing, economic blockade, using food and medicine as weapon against Tamils etc. Why don't they go to Sinhala heart land like Bindunuvewa but to Colombo? Because the Sinhala Nazis will think twice before killing the Tamils in the 'Bindunuvewa style' due to the diplomatic presence in capital Colombo.

Remember, the evacuation of Tamils in Colombo by the Sinhala Nazis brought international condemnation.

Rasak, moby, sansare:

BTW, did LTTE removed Sinhalese and Muslims from Jaffna with a very short notice..?

My comment was with regards to the decline of Tamils due to war. LTTE repents what they did to Muslims and Sinhalese. But, using war as a means to get rid of an ethnic group enmass, is ethnic cleansing and world will not let this go on for ever.

You refered to Pilliyan case, the success or failure of it is yet to be seen. Just by looking at the drama to pick CM the signs for Tamils will not be good. This whole thing could be a Sinhala plot to pit Tamils against Muslims. World is watching this drama. You just have to wait and see..

more than 10'000 sla have been killed in last 3 years and more than 20'000 injured so what other options has he got .

Whoa!

I though since the start of hostilities, only around 7000 have been killed from all sides....

Where did you get this number? Are you using the same calculator the GOSL is suing these days?

The Sinhlese don't have to pit these two against each other, animosity towards LTTE has been cemented since Kattankudy and the evictions....

But please don't portray that these two ethnicities are at each other throats. they are co existing peacefully elsewhere in SL, just like all other ethnicities.

Please stop writing too much wrong things.
We had Tamils in Colombo for so many years. My home town is also central Colombo and I know by living there, how close Tamils and other people are there.

Bindunuwewa incident is a sad, ugly isolated one, but you cant generalized that with all matters.

Not only in Colombo, Tamils are in many other cities.

I wouldn't trust a UNP MP to sit properly on the toilet seat...
Its funny how you guys harp on about the 83 riots without mentioning who was in power those days....

Nowadays the UNP is next to God and VP to the average Peelamist...what comes out of those mouths is the gospel.

I am sure, Pilleya or Hisbulla, you have to tell something for each case.

So, the difficult task is not to satisfy Tamils and Muslims in east, but to satisfy LTTE supporting Tamils in north and foreign countries.

Perhaps, true. But it is due to the fact that both view Sinhalese with suspicion. Besides, many Muslims speak Tamil.

In East, Sinhalese are minority. But, they want to play majority card there. How would they do it? Just pit Tamils against Muslims.
