democracy will be victim
Indeed when democratically elected PM SWRD wanted to implement the agreement he signed BC Pact in 1958 Sinhala Buddhist monks and JRJ sabotaged victimising the democracy.
Later the same thing happened in 1965, this time MR's former boss Mrs SB sabotaged the agreement, democratically elected PM Dudley Senanayake signed with Tamil leader SJV. Again democracy was victimised.
This time MR victimed democracy by asking the people to vote he let Pillaiyan to carry guns and threaten the voters into voting for the president's party.
Only that, Hizbullah got a majority of Mus lim members in the EPC but the president wants to appoint the Chief Minister by victimising the democracy.
The president signs agreements in order to get elected and bin them once elected. P-TOMS and MoU he signed with Opposition went the same way.

M Rajapakse spends billions on propaganda.
Even UN cannot intervene in countries that commit human rights violations or oppressing the ethnic communities.
Oxford Union is just a debating chamber where students learn how to debate. They have no power whatsoever.
MR went there thinking the British will listen to his propaganda gimmicks and can gain support for his oppression of the minorities and appalling human rights violations. It's true he under estimates the feeling of undergraduates who are for justice and human rights.
A man who cheats people by having an 'democratic' election to elect Provincial Council members but appoints the Chief Minister himself and holds power to sack him if and when he wishes. He is the one who victimise the democracy. |

The power and influence of the Executive Presidency today is very reminiscent of the power and influence of Sri Lanka s Kings of past. One s rise and fall is at the Presidents pleasure or displeasure as the case might be

We are reading some natural responses.
How on the earth that LTTE supporting members can find any positive fact about MR when LTTE is facing a tough situation....?
At least, we give a regard to VP for his determination for what is he doing, and LTTE members for the die-hard loyalty to VP.

Anyway, when the education ministry gets application for next GCE/OL and when see the results of second sittings this fact can be proved, even its too late by then. |
