Government should not betray Pilliyan ! If GOSL did that we would see LTTE no 2 !
People should not be forced to take arms by unfair treatment.
I agree. Without Karuna and pillian there would be no east . Our politicians should recognize that without antagonizing the muslims. May there is some other post Hisbulla can get . He should take it for the good of the country. |

Answer to your question about south is that, just like the N-E, south was also neglected for a long time. But, things are moving now. South is being developed. Everything is relative. |

Popular votes do not decide the CM but the number of PC members elected. There are more Muslim members than any other ethnic community.
People can elect but the president can sack the CM or dissolve the PC, this is called Sinhala Buddhist democrazy.

All (most) sri lankan ministers (sinhala Tamil or muslims) are crooks. They say UNP are crooks but i have 2 uncles related who were UNP ministers 1 made alot of money he he the other went poor in politics.
but the new GOSL is making not just money for themselves but money for all.
for example former jeyaraj's holiday estate is about 100 acresin the mundalama town. So you can imagine the rest of him and his family.

Colombo Governer and the Chief minister both are muslims.
So, Muslims should be happy with that and Should give the East Chief minister post to a Tamil. |

In 2000, for example, the East s contribution was 4.5 per cent, and the North s, 2.1 per cent. But the North and East account for a third of the island s land mass, and two thirds of the coastline.
With this opportunity, GOSL must train and encourage Pilleyan and the new admin as a model team to develop the east.
If the admin can keep the accounts visible from the start, things will be great.
Let new team headed by Tamils and Muslims to run the admin of the region. It will help to develop the confidence of north too. |
