Why LTTE didnt go for a all out campaign to block the election?
LTTE Terror is Flushed out of the East Under Mahinda! Tiger's have no say in ruling the East. Under Traitor Ranil/Rauf Hakeem CFA, Tiger's were officially given 'Area's of control in the East'.

Last week, Military Intelligence units in Trincomalee and Batticaloa arrested 18 highly trained Tigers sent to launch devastating attacks (some of which are suicide attacks) prior to, during or after yesterday's Provincial Council elections. A total of 24 such cadres had been sent, 6 of whom were at large by last evening. It is believed that some these cadres may have attacked A-520.
The cadres arrested included females. Some had entered government areas through Omanthai while others have been dropped by boat north of Trincomalee. Some members had posed-off as couples. They have also been tasked to plant claymores and fire RPGs at any given target of opportunity. The cadres had obtained their weapons from weapons dumps in Peraru Jungles that were hidden by retreating LTTE units after the fall of the East.
Trincomalee is under the purview of the Sri Lanka Navy. Military Intelligence (Army) expressed concern that some Naval Intelligence officers in Trincomalee were continuing to obtaining bribes from known Tiger contacts in Trincomalee. They claimed errant officers caught red-handed some time ago were released following the Navy Commander's direct interference.

Rauf Hakeem can now have a Carnival Ice Cream Parlour in Trincomalee and extend his business to the East since the East is free of LTTE Terror Rule.
Anyway Rauf Hakeem should give some Free Ice Cream to the Trinco Folk who voted for him without ditching them and 'creaping' back into Parliament via. the Back door....

Also GOSL must see the win as willingness of eastern people for general life through politics.
So, taking the win as a certificate for the war is not a friendly thinking for north people.
GOSL must sell the east election result to win hearts of north Tamils, and conduct the war only for very limited manner to keep LEET busy and drag them to talk.
So how exactly do you think they should proceed in the north ? . Do you think Velu would be interested in talks . |

This is where GOSL has to practice a high level of diplomacy.
GOSL must show to the IC, that its doing a pure and honest try to start talks.
As a symbolic gesture, war can be stopped for 48h (about), and invite LTTE for some level of talk.
This will put the GOSL on a better position.
It will be more effective than, send more boys to death.
LTTE already know well, MR is tough and war is always within the cards.
East election win must use at highest level to gain the IC attention. |

There are various rumours. It looks like Karuna is going to be deported and MR will elect him as the new Chief Minister.
Pls rem MR has not promised anything to Pillyan as yet.
Pillayan on the other hand knows what happened to Karuna and might have made a deal with LTTE. That is one of the reasons that LTTE did not go all out to disrupt the elections.I know I know according to Gosl LTTE couldn't do anything cos the Military was strong.That is a different story
What you guys have to say if indeed there is a deal between Pillayan and LTTE? |

This is all planned. They let a ship be blown up. Then, they buy a junk ship at exorbinant price, part of which goes to high brass as comissions. After a while this junk ship also is blown up, and the money cycle keep repeating! This is Sinhala game.
VP is getting ready to stop this money game by developing mini-submarines. Once he get mass production going, he can sink all of SLN in one dark night!
