Anud,
PFLT did not win at all ?
This PFLT was the creation of FernandoPulle to spin the Eastern Elections.
However it is unfortunate that he could see how the idea was blown over ! |

Sinthaka
Do you really think that any Tamil in East will forget the eviction of over 100,000 Tamils from Trinco and similar amount in Ampara by GOSL?
Anyway, as you are a Sinhalese you know more about Tamils than Tamil know about themselves......

Pharaoh,
You are taking pieces of history probably learned off your holy bible, the UTHUR.
Whether these 'story collections' are true or not, people have moved on....less so are people like you, who are stuck in the same old well.
What matters here is not whether UNP or UPFA won, but that a large number of Eastern Tamils voted and PARTICIPATED in a democratic exercise in a sovereign state. That it self is an endorsement for one country, and a rejection of a separate state. If Tamils didn't want to live in Sri Lanka, all they had to do was boycott the election.
Instead they turned out IN NUMBERS to vote!
So however much you try to bring up your beggars wound, what matters is that Eastern Tamils have clearly shown what they want.
Being a Sri Lankan, residing in Sri Lanka, I am aware of my fellow Sri Lankan's aspirations....

Sansare,
BUT, when the majority is high (like 50,000 in this case), rigging is not becoming a deciding factor.
U must see the strong support for the UNP in the elections.
MR knows that in a free & fair elections without rigging, he will lose the Deposit in East.
A day will come when the People in South will also be tired of War Winning Stories & will beg for Talks.
Till that time comes ,keep talking abt so called ' victories ' till that time comes.

AnuD:
Earlier inthe Forum, Most LTTE tamils said, that TMVP was not popular in the east. How come TMVP won. Is it because UPFA ?
In fact there is no point about talking who won or who lost in this bogus election. If the election was free and fair, any of such talk make sense.
