i believe that the tigers might leave pillayan for a while just to drive home the point to the masses.masses who already loath him and his actions.
Certainly he will prove his credibility to Tamils if not done yet.
He will join the list of 'tamil opportunists' who were bought over for money and other perks.
It will fizzle out!
If the majority sincerely thinks(I doubt that they will ever do that when it comes to atleast the ethnic issue)that Pillayan is an end product of Mahinda's genuine attmept to solve the tamil problem then let this be another opportunity for them to learn that it is a big, huge farce.
With severely biased mind set, the majority's only concern is to sabotage the LTTE and defeat it so that at the end of the day the Tamil ethnic issue and the Tamils in general could be subdued for ever.
In that direction they will bring any tamil devil to the forefront.

It is a wonderful cocktail. President of a country and then followed by a dog trainer who will talk about communication methods and right and wrong.
Is she going to train the president too? Going too cheap!

No offence but majority of sinhalese have limited understandings therefore its wise to explain in a way they understand.
just say today a 20 year old taharan plane of Mahin air crash and kill say 200 people on board.
all over the world the news will be braodcast. it will show as a srilankan governemnt owned budget airline crashed and killing 200 people.
it will say about its bad safty records.
then people will think its srialnkan plane. which is srilankan airlines.
emirates had worked had to uplift the brand. and mahinda will distry it within a minute. |

Sajin Vaas Gunewardene who has some knowledge in freight operations .. experience gathered whilst working as a 'freight-agent' for a shipping firm in the middle east .. conned his way into the 'confidence' of SL President, and got himself appointed as CEO of Mihin-Air. A 'wheeler-dealer', and 'smart-aleck' .. he seems to have been having an 'ego-trip' at public expense. It is high time, Sajin Vaas's management of Mihin-Air is 'probed', and the financial documents relating to the airline's management, made public.
This is not a time for letting the Mihin-Air operation go 'free-wheeling' .. but for a close scrutiny of its operations to-date (with a view to re-structuring, and possible salvaging, or 'winding' it up).
(It may be best to 'wind it up' .. and any 'good' men and women as it may have, given the opportunity to join Sri Lankan Airlines ..)

They say airline business is the easiest way to turn a billionaire into a millionaire.
That saying is particularly true in the budget carrier business. The low cost business model is very difficult to master. Sajin Vaas had no chance of succeeding without having any airling experience and with the recent rise in oil price. Even the budget airline frontiers like Eazy Jet are struggling these days. They have recently parked upto 30 aircrafts because of falling load factor.
With the rising cost of living in Sri Lanka plus the global fuel prices being so high Mihin Air has no chance of survival. The best option for the GOSL is to park the Mihin air project for now until the conditions improve. |

Is the fault with Sajin or Mahinda? How can a President simply hand over such a project to a guy without any study of the guy's credentials.
To me Mahinda seems to be experimenting with various things at the public expense!! |
