TMVP carried guns and threatened voters!! UPFA is part of that!!

Paraffel is not a reliable monitor!!

Alright guys,

Despite the rigging, the opposition UNP-SLMC alliance wins the Trincomalee district

Here are the results from 1947 specially Trinco.

1947 Mr. Sivapalan of Tamil Congress won with 5252 votes

1952 Mr. N.R. Rajavarothium of Federal Party won by 4450 votes

1956 Mr. N.R. Rajavarothium of Federal Party won by 7048
votes

1960 March. Mr. N.R. Rajavarothium of Federal Party won by 8640 votes

1965 Mr. S.M. Manikkaraja of Federal Party won with 9651 votes

1977 Mr. R Sampthan of TULF won by 15144 votes

1989 again the TULF won by 18548 out of 67509 registered voters.

2000, UNP won with 12861 out of registered 67866 voters

2001 TULF won by 35639 out of 81422 registered voters.

So, as you can see this is a huge Victory for Mahinda to gain 4 seats in a UNP and TULF dominated area of Trinco with more than 51% Tamils. This a hugh break-through for UPFA in Trinco.

So this is normal coming from Tamilnet about unfair elections.

Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE), never heard of these guys........make a group as you go along?

Overall 55%-60% voter turnout in violence-free Eastern PC poll

With an overall 55% to 60% voter turnout, the curtain came down on the Eastern Provincial Council election yesterday sans any major poll-related acts of violence.

The turnout for the poll in the three districts of the Province, Ampara, Trincomalee and Batticaloa -- held after a lapse of 20 years, was satisfactory, Elections Commissioner Dayananda Dissanayake said

I think Tigers lost their moral right to comment about any fairness of any election in Lanka after they denied the voting rights of Northern Tamils to rig the last presidential election for Mahinda.

Sinta
At least one good thing came out of this shameful 'election' is that minorities are united against the human rights violators and Sinhala Buddhist chauvinists.

eh, you sound confused about minorities being the majority in the Eastern province?

hmm...
that's ok!

The number of posts here in LNP, before and after election has a clear difference.

Most Tamil members are having less interests it seems.

This shows, its only a few Tamil members are in this forum writing for east..!
