UPFA wins 'rigged' EPC election

UPFA 308886 votes
UNP 250732 votes
JVP 9390 votes
TDNA 7714 votes

So, UPFA rigged about 58,000 votes..?
Or, in other words, more than 1/5 of UNP votes..?
It cant be..!

Yep. No one expected a 100% clean election.

But UPFA is a clear winner.

[Polled 646456 65.78 % ]

Over 65% participated in the GOSL the state elections rejecting the sole representatives. As any elections malpractices would have occurred but 20 people were seen voting without ID he he but the percentage difference in UPFA winning margin is too much to be challenged at.

[United People's Freedom Alliance UPFA 308886 52.21% ]

[United National Party UNP 250732 42.38%]

did anyone notice this result in the latter of the Table ?

and the tigers party

[People's Front of Liberation Tigers PFLT 383 [0.06%]

Its time the keyboard foreign WeTamils realize the ELAM dream is over for ever.

Now it will be Pilliyan Vs Hibullah !

Any party or paramilitary that carries guns and bullets and allied to the government that uses abductions, killings and extortions as a norm cannot be defeated - a mockery of democracy. This will convince the converted and alienate the moderates.

At least one good thing came out of this shameful 'election' is that minorities are united against the human rights violators and Sinhala Buddhist chauvinists.
