How can an election that gives all the power of dismissal of the elected leaders or the Council be a democratic one?
If the people is given the right to vote the elected leaders it's democracy and not the one that gives supreme power to the Sinhala Buddhist leader.
this is what the 13th amendment is all about! |

the question of racism do not arise if the sinhala Buddhist lead govt was not following the racist policy on the FIRST place since 1948.
why expect others to be tolerance when one was NOT on the FIRST place?? |

So why don't you appoint the CM and nominate the members of the EPC? Why do you call it a democratic election? If it is democratic how comes Sinhala Buddhist leader dismiss or sack the CM and dissolve the EPC?
Why should the Sinhala president have the power to control the EPC in
1. Dismissing the CM
2. Dissolve the EPC
3. Control the budget of the EPC?
Why cannot the Sinhala leaders trust the people of the EPC?
Why cannot the people elected the EPC de-elect it if it is not up to the job?
In Canada English are in majority. An English PM does not have the power of dismissing the elected leader (Premier) of French speaking local council or the Provincial Government.
