Who ever wins the election in the East, just the election itself makes LTTE is of no use any more.
IT solidifies that LTTE is just a criminal organization that is not capable of coming into democratic politics. |

another paksa enterprise supporter trying to put the ltte on a par with the so called Colombo govt!
In this was the case I would have pretended that this election is perfect.
Just trying to be objective and neutral (have a look at the flag beside the date)

The official website couldn't even properly spell Eastern Revival in Tamil properly.
Menaka,
Welcome to the Forum.
Don't expect perfectness from those websites. |

This is a very fair election considering how the east was a few months ago.
What is fair? Gun at your throat or the ballot box !
Oh, I feel sorry for these LTTE Terrorist hired assassins who talk of fairness.
You have no right to speak of fairness after what your have done and suppressed your own people for 3 decades.
Words like liberators, saviours do not belong to terrorist organizations.

People elect and the Sinhala President sack the elected leaders is NOT democratic.
SLMC leader said that this election is the warrant the minorities sign to hand over their rights to the Buddhist Sinhala leaders. He had to contest to show that Pillaiyan-MR coalition to fool the people and claim victory is not possible.
This election will enable the Sinhala president to control the Chief Minister whoever he may be, and if the CM does not become a puppet he will be sacked or dismissed.
How can an election that gives all the power of dismissal of the elected leaders or the Council be a democratic one?
If the people is given the right to vote the elected leaders it's democracy and not the one that gives supreme power to the Sinhala Buddhist leader. |
