The Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) expressed dissatisfaction over the conduct of the Eastern Province Provincial Council Elections, which concluded yesterday

People from Colombo had cast votes belonging to large number of displaced people from Trincomalee, said Tennakoon who added that vote rigging in the Trincomalee District was carried out in large scale.

He also claimed that the ballot boxes had been stuffed at Dharmaratnam College, in Batticaloa District. Eight incidents have taken place in that polling station, Mahagedara said.
Mahagedara further said that the Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TMVP) had stolen voting cards from many Batticaloa civilians.
All these incidents are a great threat to actual democracy, said Mahagedara.


This election is just a Farce & West will never take this Election Seriously & will never donate aid for developing East after this kind of shoddy elections.

Mahinda has better things to do, he will let Pillian mind his province and concentrate on Velu.
