Velir,

After a long time I got a weekend off and I am having a good laugh here, which I deserve.

at least a party should have gotten 1 vote!...having 17 parties without even a single vote casts aspersions on the election-process.

something fishy is going on.

I have participated in elections from March 1960 and this is because these guys file nominations thinking the main parities will pay a good price and buy them out. That is the reason.

Eleven Independent groups did not get even the vote of the candidate.

six independent groups got only one vote meaning that only the candidate voted. EVEN Candidate wives, parents or close relatives did not vote for them.

Interesting.

Up to now, UPFA has 52% of the declared vote count. UNP has only 32%.

People of mental age 3 are confused about the election results. Only the postal and IDP votes are counted so far, which cannot be taken as an indication of the total votes.

Pillaiyan is seen to be stuffing the ballot boxes according to UNP and independent observers.

One minister also attempted to stuff the ballot boxes and were surrounded by the people in the booth. He then charged the OIC on duty but beaten by the crowd and rescued by STF.

This is an election intended to hoodwink the international community. The elected members of EPC will have no power, authority or money to carry out any project whatsoever.

The Sinhala president will decide the fate of the EPC and he can sack the Chief Minister, dissolve the EPC and refuse to pay even a cent. He has the untimate power and the members and CM are mere puppets.

Anu
Have you ever been to an LTTE bakery (called Vethuppaham)?
If they give you brea you need to be thankful that they are giving you bread and say 'yes sir!'
Don't even imagine of not accepting it - such thoughts are not good for your health!

I don't know why they did not disqualify this party. The leader was a Sinhalese guy who manipulated his initials and had his name in three lists Batti, Trinco and another.
