what about TAMIL in any WESTERN or EUROPEAN country in another 50 years.
In England there is an average of one doctor among the Tamil immigrant families. I found no second generation Tamil complain about discrimination.
In Canada you would have seen a Directory of Tamil businesses. You can listen to a Tamil song played by shops from one end to the other while you drive in many cities in Toronto.
Just you try playing a Tamil song in any Sri Lanka city, even in Jaffna, the soldiers dictate it be switched off. |

In 1956 Tamils and indeed other ethnic minorities were given (quasi) Federal governments to govern their areas in India. Tamils can govern themselves without the intervention of the PM from Delhi.
In 1957 our democratic Tamil leaders signed an agreement with then PM SWRD for regional councils to be set up within a united Sri Lanka. It was sabotaged by the Opposition Party led by JRJ (only 8 MPs) and the Sinhala Buddhist monks by arousing anti-Tamil riots.
Then a watered down version of District Councils was compromised by our leadership and signed another agreement with UNP PM Dudley Senanayake, this time SLFP Opposition Mrs SB and S-B monks sabotaged it.
What can Tamils or Muslims do if the agreements were sabotaged by anti-democratic elements?

It is very common that Tamils start with one topic and jump into another very fast.
You start with Tamil - speaking, English and French.
Then writes about how many Tamil doctors are available in UK - hospitals and th lack of 'Discrimination' voice from them.
I don't think those tamils are worried about 'TAMILNESS' as they are earning money and spend well-to-do livfe styles and even care about you coolies who die for the FAKE STRUGGLE.
That is the Typical Tamil STruggle.
In Sri Lanka, Tamils got free education and moved overseas and they did not stay there to contribute to the Country. those tamils who could not make it TOOK ARMS AGAINST IT.
So, the story is not not much different.

the ltte is designed by JRJ.
the suppressed people's defense is based on the types of offensive methods the oppressor uses against the suppressed. if the suppressed do not use the equal or slightly less powerful form of defense , the oppressor will get away with their deliberate missions.
once the suppressed started to defend them self , the offender should make peace with the suppressed.
if not, the oppressor is in the name of (1000 s of excuse can be said) something bringing the whole of his people down politically and economically in the name of fighting the suppressed.
srilanka is a clear case! |

India is Tamils very Origin, not SL.
This is unadulterated racism.
Tamils born in Sri Lanka and lived there are the citizens of Sri Lanka. A tamil or Sinhalese is a foreigner in India or any other country.
You must understand this fact.
Sinhalese also migrated from some part of India, Orissa or West Bengal.
Talking about these idiotic trivialities will not resolve the ethnic problem. All three communities have equal rights to live in Sri Lanka as equal citizens. This is where we must orient our arguments to find a reasonable solution.
Separation or Eelam comes ONLY when extremists insist on Unitary Constitution or possessing the whole of Sri Lanka for one race..
