Yes, it was possibly a 'daring' raid .. and sub-marine crew/s of the LTTE may have given a 'boost' to the sagging morale of the Tamil diaspora .. who are other-wise witnessing the final separation of the two provinces (which they were hoping VP & the LTTE could some-how hold together). Some 'small compensation' .. but SLA will 'roll-on' to the Wanni, to confront VP (or who-ever is directing the LTTE, now) .. and deliver the final 'death-blow' to him, and his organisation.
If it was indeed a submarine crew that sank the SLN cargo-ship, they will be pursued to their training/operational bases .. and bombed to extinction. (It need not have been a submarine-attack .. it could also have been two sacks of explosives 'planted' by a ships'chandler, and set-off by a timing device. Could have come in with a cargo of rice, for instance).

LTTE has nowhere to go. LTTE does not know that we will not discourage for those kinds of cheap attacks. We will go to the heart.
