Nacholibre,
Good good good keep going. These LTTE sympathizers
still believe whatever dirty work is good. They believe whatever unfair things they do to tamil people will not violate human rights. We need to give them real facts still not sure their mind is matured enough to understand them but we should try our best speak to the point. |

Our people in Sri Lanka wants to get over with this war dragging 20 years because:
1. We got traitors as usual. (SOME OKAY)
2. Did not have a good president right now.
3. International influences
X
X
X
All those problems resolved except PROB 1.
Therefore our people will need to be patience until we resolved problem 1. Like in Korea, if someone become a traitor, he/she will be bring up to the front of the people and kill.

Since there is no more ships to transport troops to Tamil areas this might open up a way to have peace talks immediately with Tigers.
There is no use of spending huge money borrowed from foreign countries to purchase any transport ship for this war and sri lankan government should also understand that the peace talks is more important than continuing military activities against tamils.
Without LTTE the government can also start peace talks with TNA leaders and at the same time , governments troops should be withdrawn gradually from all Tamil areas .
This ship is very expensive and it is hard to believe still how the sri lankan government is going to replace this ship and foreign countries won't give anhy more credits to continue this war
Instead of transporting goods to help tamils civilians in the north sri lankan government made a big mistake by using this ship only for transporting troops and amunitions to Tamil areas.
this is the basic reason why the Tigers were forced to destroy this navy transport ship althouhgh the government claimed that this ship was a merchant ship. |

Most LTTE Sympathizers are out of touch../They are a bunch lost dials.most who ran away from freedom struggle.Misled by VP front runners in each foreign theater to fund ethnic cleansing.
Reasonably Karuna and his level leaders are gone through the hardest times in Eelam struggle, some are older to fight and some family ed and settled.
Former LTTE sympathizers who live in east realize reality to wards freedom and there mandate for power sharing at todays elections will open Vanni minds against LTTE.
Eastern Elections are the most hurting to LTTE hooters who dreamed for a separate state.

Saintclair,
Keep dreaming of peace talks son. We would not have sacrifice our soldiers if we want peace talks, we could have declare peace in the first place. What is the point of declaring peace with tigers when our leaders killed, LTTE takes every cent that tamil people make. What is the point? If wanted to be stupid enough to declare peace, we could have done it before sacrifice soldiers. NO NO NO big NOOO no more peace with terrorists, this is where India messed up but we won't.
Saintclair, you ask peace now that you care about SL government would have to spend more money. How about LTTE give up all the weapons, then there will be no war. :) That is the far most simple solution here. Not care how much SL navy would have to spend to buy a ship.
However we are not stupid enough to save money and live with terror. If we need ship we would buy or build ourselves.

Chami,
I am not talking for LTTE or the government but just for the population of sri lanka including you sinhalese backward people.
what is now important is peace talks to save this island from total destruction by your own people under the name of war against tamils.
Do you know the total value of this ship?
do you know the total credits received from foreign banks to purchase this ship?
It is gone deep into the ocean but you still refuse to understand the vale of peace?
when we say that you can't defeat LTTE ,you can't ... you can't..
so there is no use of waiting for any fals declaration from army commandor Mr.Sarath.
who will cerainly, by tomorrow declare that he would finish up this war end of this year. Damn fool.
Listen and understand the value of peace but don't talk any nonsence on fals abilities of your poor soldiers. |

Mervyn Silva's son arrested for attempted vote rigging
2008-05-10 12.55pm Police Special Task Force commandos arrested Minister Mervyn Silva's son Malaka Silva and coordinating secretary identified as 'Kudu Lal' at a polling station at Dehiattakandiya in Digamadulla district today (May 10th).
The two, accompanied by several persons, had tried to rig votes at the Bambarawana Central College polling centre, Consultant for the Campaign for Free and Fair Elections Shiral Laktilake told 'Lanka Dissent.
Still in Dehiattakandiya, police apprehended an armed group that was accompanying the bodyguards of Minister Premalal Jayasekara on similar charges.
The UNP's Election Incidents Monitoring Unit said the group had arrived in vehicles JF-3114, KD-3787 and 32-3387.

Good, I am talking about people too. Remember, government is there for people. But let's ask why LTTE is there for? To kill them?
You think peace agreement is good this time because your dummy prabakaran told that LTTE runs out weapons. If LTTE drop off weapons, the peace is there. That is what needs to be done here.
As long as terrorists are terrorists, we have to save people by defeating them. I understand the obstacles you are refering here, however when you get sickness and sore throat, do you wait until it heals itself or go to the doctor. Many of us go to the doctor. Just as here also give proper medicine to LTTE in the language they understand.
Saintclair,
Please do not be a traitor. If we declare peace, that means we massively under estimate the lives of soldiers.
Why do not you tell LTTE all of the things you say? We are not prepared to declare peace with LTTE, if we do, that means our soldiers died throughout 20+ years for nothing.
We shall march until terror is eliminated from Sri Lanka.
