Ex-Invincible' sunk in Trincomalee Harbour

At approximately 2.15a.m., local time an under water explosion damaged and caused logistic vessel A-520(MV Invincible) to sink while moored at the Ashroff jetty in Trincomalee harbour, today (May 10).

No lives were lost due to the explosion.

A-520 was a merchant vessel built in 1970's and handed over to the Sri Lankan Navy, following a court order after it was apprehended while transporting 254 illegal migrants off Tangalle in 2003.

They don't discriminate, they takeout what ever is available.

I think this was good for GOSL and LTTE than attacking a sailing ship, if what both party say are true.

GOSL did not lose any sailors.

LTTE will have problem with IC if a couple of 100 sailors died. Minimum they will increase giving information and other detecting equip.
Sent a good amount of arms to the bottom.
At least made movement of troops and arms inconvenient.

So its a win win situation.

LTTE is playing the game of Iraq-US or US-Afghan.

Bombs in predominantly Sinhala area in east is nothing but ethnic cleansing.

Blasting prior to the election is nothing but intimidation. It must be Pillian?

The Eastern Provincial Council elections to be held today will make the Tamil-speaking community of Sri Lanka true partners in the country s governance for the first time in history and the LTTE who oppose to true Democratic process are playing these law level games with innocent people

According to the Military there is no more LTTE in the East..

Thais can only be written by a mororon. Sinhala president has the power to dismiss the elected Eastern PC and sack the CM and yet this moron claims 'true partners' in the country.

Sinhala Buddhist president has the power, authority and the money to make the PC function but the CM can only carry out any project only with the permission and approval of the president and yet the extremists try to paint it as a 'true partnership'. Is is a puppet.
