Yes MR is bombing his own government elections so he can call it a successful government election to the international community.

LTTE is doing its best not to sabotage the Elections as they know they are the Sole reps (TMark)

This is supposed to be the work of those who are facing defeat at the EP election, at least that is what Anura Priyadarshana Yapa the media minister said hinting that it is the work of the UNP/SLMC and the LTTE.

The eatery, situated near the clock tower and Ampara public hall is owned and visited primarily by Sinhala civilians working/visiting Ampara Town with a few servicemen/women visiting it for meals and cigarettes. The blast took place hours before what is considered a surprisingly peaceful election thus far.

LTTE is turning to civilian targets in desperation to disrupt the ethnic harmony in the East. LTTE's objective is to provoke the Sinhales against Tamils like they have done repeatedly since 1983. Democracy has dawned on East and there is no turning back.

Sad, innocents should never be targeted.

In Sri Lanka things are not clear cut to accuse anyone with certainty.

Piliyantala bombing was initially blamed on LTTE as usual, but, later Sinhalese including a police inspector were arrested.

STF is on duty and in a country where human life is insignificant anyone can bomb and blame his enemy.
