I am from the So called sinhala diaspora. Not a single cent to this racist war. Instead I prefer to donate for a Tamil war orphan. My daughter is already sponsoring a one. I believe Sinhala army should withdraw from north. Sinhalese should denounce this war and campaign to use the money wasted on this war for the development of country.
Suggest our friends, 'Tamil Diaspora' to sponsor sinhala war orphans ending of this meaning less war.
I believe Sinhala army is an occupying army and it should leave the northern Sri Lanka.
Also LTTE is a racist, fascist movement. How ever it is the duty of the Tamil people to denounce LTTE and its terror politics.

How do they know? By intuition or telepathy?
In 2002 the MoD said 87,000 soldiers deserted the SF. Is it possible for that large number of youths go on hiding?
When the SF said in 2006 and 2007 that they wanted 80,000(50,000 + 30,000) to be recruited, what happened to 190,000 already serving?
You must be able to calculate the number of dead and injured from the number to be recruited for replacement.
Unidentified army spokesman and the Opposition said that 100's of bodies were burnt in Anuradhapura. It is obvious that MoD or the govt do not want to reveal the number of casualties for reasons known to all.
Another worrying aspect is the secrecy surrounding the hospitals where the wounded are treated, the release of actual number of casualties to the media and barring independent journalists to the area of election.
Depending on which side you are one can easily make inference from what the hardliners in the govt and MoD say or do.

I salute your stance. Only people like you can see things in broad day light. Many have buried their heads under the sand and pretend that the world is dark.
MR must be persuaded to table proposals for a meaningful and genuine power devolution and all the moderates be called upon to negotiate a deal whereby everyone is equal and no one is superior.
