how come troops go missing when you are advancing and the enemy retreating
Missing and desertion of soldiers are intended to exclude them from dead and thereby reduce the number of soldiers listed as dead.
This is to mislead the Sinhala majority and persuade the poor to send their sons to join the SLDF to live on the salary that they are paid to get killed.
Last month in one day alone 182 soldiers were killed, but the MoD claimed 30 went missing and the total dead for the last month was given as 102 by the PM in parliament.

It is mostly to mislead the outside world. Any poor mother or father knows if a son is dead. Unlike the kids taken by LTTE, SLDF guys are allowed to communicate with their parents and friends regularly. It is like any job.. if putting your life in line is part of the JD, they are well aware of the risk.

LTTE terrorists explode a bomb in Ampara town
LTTE terrorists have exploded a bomb inside the 'New City Cafe' in Ampara town around 5.45 p.m today, May 09.
The initial report received from the area said that 8 civilians were killed due to the explosion and the victims who received injuries were rushed to the Ampara hospital.
This is another cowardly attempt of the LTTE terrorists to disrupt the normalcy in the area as the government scheduled to head the provincial council elections to establish the democracy in the eastern province.

Fully agree with you there, no one else could work out ways of defrauding foreign citizens by plundering their bank accounts and credit cards to the astonishing degree you and your brothers do it in the UK and EU.
The rest of the criminals (That don t belong in the 'Proud Tamil Race') are decades behind. You guys are leaps and bounds beyond anyone else in criminal world, a feat I am sure makes you proud.
