Five arrested for rape of woman SI

The Kataragama Police yesterday arrested five men including a soldier on a charge of raping a woman police Sub Inspector while she was on duty.
The woman SI has been admitted to hospital.
The Police was interrogating the suspects, as this edition went to press. Initial investigations revealed that the suspects were under the influence of liquor at the time the offence was committed. The suspects were due to be produced before a Magistrate, Police said.

True! but here none of the suspects seem to be from the Police! One is from the Army and is obviously not a policeman, the other four do not seem to be from the forces or the police. (at least it has not been mentioned)
If the WSI's police colleagues gave her the 'routine course' it wouldn't have surfaced as a rape, would it?

If anybody rape a WSI there should be a strong reason.I don't believe this story at all.Will wait and see what happens.

A Police woman is not safe in Sri Lanka,how come a normal women can escape from the Sinhalese..

For the actions of a few how do you justify that the majority 'culture' of the Sinhalese is that?
Just because the tigers are murderers and barbarians would you also say that terrorism, murdering, torturing and creating mayhem is also the culture of the Tamils?

Sinhala soldiers are under a lot of stress these days. So this kind of behaviour is not unexpected.
