How will you solve it? By begging the Chinese and Persians for weapons?
Not by wepons.
I don't have solutions for ongoing war between LTTE and GoSL.
But if we reduce the dislikeness hetrance amoung Sinhalese Tamils and Muslims the war will automatically stoped.
Try to do it. Contribute for it. I do it by my heart.
For example,
If Majority of SL still beleive in Mahavamsa.
On primary school books, we can say this story.
First king and his 700 men married Tamils of South India.
We are the decendents of them.According to Mahavamsa it is the truth.
But what SL education ministry does. They never mentioned this. But mentions ELARA DUTUGAMUNU STORY. They forget that there were fight between Budhdhist kings too.
But if you go deep in to Elara-Gamunu war. There were Sinhalese Tamils on both sides.This is according to Mahavamsa too.
When considering this facts, I can treat tamils and Sinhalese people as my brothers. SL muslims are from TamilNadu. So they are close reletives too.
If pure mind of a child is fulfilled by this nice peacefull story we can end this war when that child become the powerforceof the country.

The solution should be in the hands of the people of the North East provinces. Hold a referendum and allow them to pick a solution like a civilized nation is supposed to do. I know that's too much to expect from the Barbarians, but that's the only true solution. |

referandum should be held el
there is an election in the east province already after liberation and people will choose whom to govern,
your soution is too good to accepted by LTTE , they dont want anything like that, They want to break the land and create a tamil extrimist land. |

Even we have a vote only for Tamils all over the country, I don't think they will choose a seperate area. Tamils out side of Nort and East is not ready to move.
If you include all the Tamil speaking population, Surely Seperate area idea will be defeated.
