Every tamil should get a Sinhala Last name. Then all will be equal.
This is practically done mostly in Negombo-Puttalam district.
So called tamils were neglected by Jaffna Tamils for centuries. That is why there is no famous scholar from this area who has a tamil origin. while there are many from north and east.
People from this area benifited becoming sinhalese. Now LTTE(mostly Jaffna guys) blaming about Sinhalization. But they only made the stage for it.
I demand Jaffna tamils, some of your LTTE maps shows parts of Puttalam. But do you respect and treat the same way to Puttalam so called tamils the same way you do to Jaffna people.

They have lived with Sinhalese for two milleniums.
Don't try to boost the fighting amoung us.

Yes. Learning to co-exist is one of the greatest human qualities, whether it is with your wife, office colleague, neighbour etc.
We have Buddhist, Hindus, Catholics, Muslims in our society. We need to accommodate everyone. Every decision should be aimed at achieving peace.

It s a wrong picture. One shown is MLW Canadian engine imported 50 years ago and still running. They are very good engines suitable for Sri Lankan Conditions. Regarding the Alsthom engines deal, at the time of tender being awarded, at a TV interview Madam Chandrika said that tender evaluation had been done in a corrupt manner and that caused her to intervene and get them to order the Alsthom engines. According sources the bid that was rejected saying a corrupt deal was for the MLW engines. Also the Government did not take any disciplinary action against the so called corrupt Tender Committee.
