Sri Lankans still hasn't understand the worth of human life.
Who loose what by solving the problem politically. This could have done long time ago.

Japanese needed two atomic bombs and 20% of its population to be killed to understand the bitterness of the war.

Wayamba,
Japanese needed two atomic bombs and 20% of its population to be killed

Pl check the figure here,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties

It says only 3.75% (from the 1939 population)of the population killed by the WW2.

Also, many facts affected to end the war, its not easy to conclude.

(just posted for information)

Eski better question is whether the Buddhist Caliphate is still a go? 60 years and trying...

It is nothing to do with Buddhism or Budhist in SL.
You don't understand and you haven't been to all parts of SL and moved with people.

Sansare,

This Wiki information may be right. I remember like I watched a Japanese documentary saying that 30,000,000 died.
Sorry for the wrong info

Wayamba,
Thanks.
Yes, the figure says its 2,680,000 died in the war in Japan. (including civilians).
Perhaps what you saw was 3,000,000....closer to the Wiki data.
Also, according to data, about every 1 out of 4 in forces died.
