SaDeath Fonseka was thanked for pushing the soldiers into the LTTE death trap and thereby (in)voluntarily let LTTE have the badly needed long range artillery guns of 152mm and ammunitions.
182 soldiers died, 400 injured with 200 lost their limbs in one day fighting and are treated in temporarily erected make shift camps.
Why don't the leaders and army Colonels show no mercy on these soldiers? Is it because their children are either in US or other Western countries studying English to become the next generation of rulers?

Nothing. This is why they are determined. They are not fighting for the love of money or fill their stomach but for the belief in the cause.
This is also the reason its easy to buy out a southen soldier than a nothern rebel. |
