DVLADV,
Is there a realistic way out with the current Sri Lankan mentality? If yes: how?
I guess the only realistic way is a military coup. It may be the worst situation for the conflict depending on the stuff the military already knows about the LTTE and other players that are responsible for the current plight of Sri Lanka. If the military knows that they can not defeat LTTE without a genocidal war then they would chose to do that. I doubt that option is there anymore. Ltte has concentrated and established in Vanni among the civilians and it is not going to be easy flushing them out.
There is no way that MR and the gang can be defeated in a democratic manner. He has got his henchmen infiltrated all the way up whatever infrastructure we have left in SL. Things he can not control, he will use Mervyn, Kudu lal and other thugs to put a nice damper.
All the middle class singalese people who where the moderate thinkers have either left or being dropped to poor status and can not do anything other than find a way to live day to day. The few that got rich, are dirty and are sleeping with some kind of a MR member to get even richer and blow off to America with the families when the going gets tough.
That is from the south. It would be the same for the guys up in the north too.. Don't tell me regular joe-blow is enjoying the life under bullets flying.
That 84.3% are the frustrated Singhalese who drink punnakku and watch 'super-stars' and go to sleep hungry blaming every thing on the Tamils because that is what the Puppet Masters Puppet Media tells them 18 times a day 365 days a year.
