Shakti hates current commies (JVP)

People change their views when they mature, but I never ever thought about JVP as 'commies'.

JVP is nothing more than a racist party and I doubt how many of their top leaders can even spell 'Marx'.

Unlike JVP the traditional lefties of this country were educated people who knew their theory. (thought it might not have been practical)

It's not easy to practice a theory in real world. There are no true communists. That was the problem with all red countries.

there were many in the older generation who really believed that they could help the poor and the needy by using socialist principals.

and as Shakti said many of those were really educated people. and not the dregs of the society one sees nowadays.I believe that those people later got disillusioned after seeing the path this country took
