People do anything in the name of anyone. But Buddha did not say war is bad. What Buddha just showed is that cause and effect only. It is totally up to people to decide be in the good side or the bad side. It is a sin for you to say Buddha would commit suicide for an enlightened person.
Today is 2008 not 50's yes, I believe 50's might have been totally different than today. But 2002 peace agreement did signed forgetting all the chaotic things happen in the past despite lot of people did not like it myself. Still LTTE carry on their baberic acts killing Kadirgamar and violating cease fire agreement. Your grandfather maybe protest peacefully yes, but you cannot held responsible for every generation to come for what had happened to your grand father because the the new generations does not know about anything. LTTE uses new tamil generation and brainwash them with past incidents. It is stupid and you should feel stupid too if you believe in the past. That does not tell us anything that LTTE and those of who believe LTTE are already bunch of brain dead people.

Today is 2008 not 50's yes, I believe 50's might have been totally different that today.

Your grandfather maybe protest peacefully yes, but you cannot held responsible for every generation to come for what had happened to your grand father because the the new generations does not know about anything.

Velir,

Just because a snake bite you and fortunately your life has been saved, then your intension maybe to your kill that particular snake, but do you spend awful lot of time and money to find all the snakes in the country and kill them? I do not think so. Just as whoever did unlawful thing to your grand father in 50's you cannot just hunt every living being and kill them. Be mindful that you are one of the living being. THis is kind of thing prabakaran is doing today that does not work very well, back to the little story if you decide to kill all the snakes, either you get bitten by the snake or you will cycle the circle of the lives to come by getting killed by someone. That is law of karma that someone mentioned in the post. :)

The bodies of 28 soldiers killed during the confrontations yesterday were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross by the LTTE in Killinochchi this morning.

The military today announced that 43 soldiers were killed and 160 others injured following yesterday s battle in Muhamalai, while a further 33 are reported missing. It claimed that over 100 rebels were also killed.

daily mirror, just breaking (news) the numbers to tally tamilnet scores.

Tamilnet running off from Norway.
But battle news, and images far more fast reached their end than Wijeya Newspapers Ltd or defence.lk .
