Fierce fighting broke out, between Government troops and the LTTE at Muhamalai, south of Jaffna, yesterday resulting in the Army gaining 500 meters of enemy territory. Defence spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara told The Island that 52 LTTE cadres were killed and over 100 injured in the battle that was sparked off when the Tigers attempted to overrun the Military front lines in the area.
He said 15 soldiers died and 74 were injured, in the attack
Can you believe it. GoSL is still claiming it is winning and will do anything to fool the southern masses. |

Please tell this poor souther masses member, what really has happened? has the LTTE taken over the Jaffna Peninsula, has this battle decided your future? Has this battle decided my future? Has this battle decided Sri Lanka's future.
From non-media sources its known that Madhu area LTTE is packing to leave. the area has been made extremely dangerous with thousand of booby traps and mines, etc. But isn't that what happened elsewhere when they abandoned and fled?
This is just another battle, not a loss and not a victory. Us southern masses endured Elephant Pass, Mulliathivu and various other set backs....we can always bounce back. But what about you. how many bounce backs do you have left?
