A military coup is around the corner.
What do you think?
I don't know what will happen but I sure have hoped for one for quite some time. I am fed up with these bums for some time looking at the plight of the working poor of that country.
Hope it happens and every politician is bared from politics for at least 10years. The country run like a business.
Where is Voodoo ?
According to Funnyseka's figures all the LTTE are dead and now they think they are fighting their ghosts. So MR has summoned Voodoo to help him.

Dvladv,

Name Janaka Perera will send chills down a lot of people's spines.
If he enters the scene. I think it will be firstly because he (and hopefully a lot of commanders in the upper-middle ranks of the 3 forces and the STF) are sick of seeing soldiers being pushed to their demise for an un-attainable objective.
There will be an immediate cease-fire and an opportunity for a negotiated settlement. It is a known that he will do everything to protect his troops from getting in harms way unnecessarily.
MR thugs will want to kill him before anything now.

As I wrote a couple of days back: War is the last option for a true soldier but the first choice for a politician.
I hope he does not try to take over as a politician if he ever takes over. The current structure is not feasible. IC could be the main worry but there is a way around if he can set a sunset clause, come to an agreement to freeze all military action and rewrite the constitution with the help of IC but making all stakeholders a party to it. Until the sunset clause comes to an end and a new constitution written all talks of separation frozen.

Special punnakku!
This is not for all but for the Southerners who have acquired a taste for it. Now they are addicted to it.
