All the signs are India is going to step in. Who is going to invite India? GOSL or LTTE
LTTE should not invite India. RAW wants control and maintain Indian interests, more over it supported Karuna and is not in favour of LTTE. LTTE should only influence South India to put enough pressure on the center to be neutral. |

Not Stalingrad. What is needed is an amphibious landing. The money they wasted on Mig 29's and Mihin Lanka would have been better spent on landing craft.

the problem with an Amphib landing is that the possible landing areas are close by and the Ltte could easily be able to send a formation there.
let us not forget that the tigers Do have radar capability (from pics i see that almost all sea-tiger craft have one)
and i bet my money that the Seatiger craft are keeping a watch on any such move.
in the event of any such amphib venture the seatiger craft would notify the tiger land forces hours ahead...and if needed they can harry the amphib forces to delay them...
and landing on a prepared beach with enemy waiting(that Wil be the case) is suicide...i Seriously doubt the viability of the SLA creating a beachhead...after seeing that they are not even able to do any better on a land-assault with MBT/Arty etc etc...
it would be a massacre
